Business Development/Advertising Sales
Top web agency seeks a business development associate with an aptitude to succeed and a drive to close the sale - exceptional communication and presentation skills are a must. You'll work closely with the business development manager to prospect, cultivate and grow existing and new business. You should be able to understand a clients marketing goals and objectives and propose the appropriate services.
- Developing, strategizing and compiling lists of prospective clients for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources
- Identify business prospects and key decision-makers and initiate contact to pursue new business opportunities
- Uncover prospect needs through conversations and develop strategic approach to respond to specific needs
- Perform product demonstrations as needed
- Manage the internal contract process and debrief all parties on status from proposal development, review, and final contract execution
- Keeping detailed records of all sales activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years sales experience mandatory. Internet, marketing or advertising industry experience preferred
- Impeccable client-facing skills including verbal presentations and written documentation
- Excellent proposal writing and high-level presentation skills as well as negotiating and completing contracts
- Ability to consistently achieve or exceed set quotas
- Strong knowledge of the Internet
- Strong organizational skills and research abilities
- Computer and Internet access
- CRM software experience helpful
